Privacy policy
Effective July 19, 2026. This policy explains how Andromeda Kinship LLC handles information for RuleGrid.
Who operates RuleGrid
RuleGrid is operated and published by Andromeda Kinship LLC.
Information we collect
- Change-alert information: email address, selected jurisdiction, subscription status, unsubscribe token, and notification history.
- Paid account information: plan, API-key hash and prefix, Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, account label, and usage totals. RuleGrid does not store complete payment-card numbers.
- Lookup information: an address, latitude/longitude, or jurisdiction ID you submit. Location inputs are sent to the U.S. Census geocoder and, for some coordinate fallbacks, the FCC. RuleGrid does not intentionally write lookup addresses to its application database, although hosting and security logs may process request URLs and network metadata.
- Technical information: service infrastructure may process IP address, device/browser information, request time, requested URL, and security signals needed to deliver and protect RuleGrid.
How we use information
We use information to provide lookups and API access, meter plan usage, process subscriptions, deliver requested alerts, prevent abuse, secure and troubleshoot the service, comply with law, and improve reliability.
Service providers and disclosures
RuleGrid uses Cloudflare for hosting, security, its D1 database, and privacy-focused web analytics; Stripe for checkout, billing, and payment processing; the U.S. Census Bureau and FCC for geocoding; GitHub for source control and public issue tracking; Google Fonts for web typography; and Resend or Brevo if alert-email delivery is enabled. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy notices. Information may also be disclosed when legally required or as part of a business reorganization.
Advertising, analytics, cookies, and sale of data
RuleGrid uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure aggregate page visits, referrers, performance, and Core Web Vitals. Cloudflare states that this service does not use cookies, local storage, or fingerprinting and does not collect or use visitors' personal data for analytics. RuleGrid currently does not run an advertising network, sell personal information, or use cross-site behavioral advertising. Cloudflare or Stripe may use necessary security or checkout technologies on their services. This policy and any required consent controls will be updated before advertising or other non-essential tracking is introduced.
Retention and security
Information is retained only as long as reasonably needed for service, security, legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution purposes. Unsubscribed alert records may be retained to honor opt-outs. RuleGrid uses scoped credentials, hashed API keys, limited-access Cloudflare storage, automated tests, and other reasonable safeguards. No system can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and requests
Every alert email includes an unsubscribe link. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or information about personal-data handling. Send a written request to the address below. Identity verification may be required, and information may be retained where law, security, billing, or an opt-out record requires it.
Children and international users
RuleGrid is not directed to children under 13. Information may be processed in the United States and other locations where service providers operate.
